“THE BUTTERFLY BLUES”
(COMING TO SPIRITUAL ATTENTION)
So, are you feeling dazed and alone? Confused and bewildered? Without a path you can call your own? Have you forgotten what you want to be or do, when you grow up? Do you consider yourself already grown up yet with a purpose unknown to you? Are you in a maze…Or on the hamster wheel of life, running around busy, yet not getting into your soul, or living the true gusto you feel your life should offer. Is this you? Be honest now. Is it?
If this feels like you, you are being called to Spiritual Attention. Spiritual Attention is not a bad thing. It may feel like a bad thing, because it is becoming so obvious that you are way off track, but it is not a bad thing. You have been crawling around poking at things to make you happy.. Right? This might be it, that might be it. Right? Then when it isn’t it..You fall into the Blues, huh? Right? Still you crawl around some more, and you poke here and there. Never 100% sure right? Yet is there a 100% sureness in the universe??? Is There?

Well yes there is a 100% sure. That 100% has directly to do with you and the use of your spirit. Not your old spirit, not your past spirit, not the days gone by, or the days ahead. More like the days of now, the ways of this minute, and the decision to come out of the crawling stage and be willing to go into your cocoon of remembering who you really are. And what is that? Do you Know? You are a Spiritual Being. Yep, you are all too Human as well, but deep inside you are a Spiritual Being…And inside somewhere you know everything. Even all of those gifts and dreams you have long forgotten. You are being called to Spiritual Attention in noticing what isn’t working in your life any longer. So that you can choose to change it, and rearrange it to suit you more in the present day sense. Yeah sure, you used to be a cheer leader, or a great basketball player, and yeah..that was only a part of you.

Now you can still create another part of yourself. And don’t say you are too old, because that just isn’t the point. You may be older, but you don’t have to buy into being stupid about being older. Older is more time to reflect on all the choices you have made that didn’t work right? Well don’t get so stuck in the mud with that. Choose to look at what you’ve learned, and then move on into a new version of you in the older sense. After all what appeals to you now is certainly very different than what appealed to you when you were 20 years old right?

Ok so, this is the Butterfly Blues. Stewing for a long while in the old. Insisting that you just can’t change it, cuz it just keeps happening, and you can’t do anything about it. It is just your lot in life. Wow, what a whole bunch of muck!!!!! Do you know how untrue this really is? Are you telling yourself this stuff somewhere deep inside? If you are, you are in the call for and to Spiritual Attention, to step up to the pump and stand up for change. Believe in change, and know that it is possible to experience life, newness, boldness, success, and artistic creation. Create Joy, Happiness, Peace and Abundance way into old age. You are being called, “To Stand In Your Own Light.” New rules for yourself will need to be created. And you will have to learn to fly by the seat of your pants while creating them. There are no rules here, but the ones you make for yourself. Tough? Yep, sometimes, but at least you are creating your way step by step.

As you learn to believe in your own self and pathway it will get a lot easier. You will learn when to say yes, and when to say no, and really mean it. You will learn to let go of loss, and therefore losing won’t make your whole life fall apart. You will learn to trust yourself more, and therefore trust whom you choose to honor, respect, and trust in your life.

The Butterfly Blues can take some time to get through, so don’t put yourself on all these time limits. Time is only as important as we make it. When we are really ready to Let Go, and Start Anew it can happen in a minute. We just have to really be ready, that’s all.

Being called to Spiritual Attention is a process of trial and error. Noticing things aren’t working is a huge clue. When we sit-up and take notice things have a way of transforming themselves. We see it, we accept it, we acknowledge it, and then we say we are willing to change it. This is enough.
